Time is a funny thing. It has the habit of either dragging or flying by.
Right now, time is scarce. There is so much going on that it seems in short supply. Yet, under the current circumstances, the lack of time seems to be a good thing. Gone is the procrastination that usually torments me. Absent are the obsessive thoughts that trigger my OCD. Strangely, I am more productive now than I have been for a while. It is excitement, seasoned with a little anxiety that has driven me.
Next weekend, L.W. Rogers and I will be attending our first book signing. Both of us are beyond excited to be allowed to attend ‘on the other side of the table’. The last few weeks have seen a flurry of activity. Whether it has been trying to get the second book in the ‘Raising Hell’ series finished in time (which we didn’t), or ordering swag for our table (it’s been like Christmas what with all the parcels), there has never been a dull moment through it all. Add to these writing my contribution to the anthology ‘Writing is our Superpower’ (written specifically for this event to raise money for charity. See previous blog for the link,), re-editing/extending books, and preparing for our takeover on the event site on Facebook tonight, it’s been hectic, but so so worth it. Fingers crossed for an invite back next year.
